Light and Truth according to the Scriptures

D&C 11:28: “Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am the life and the light of the world.”

D&C 84:45: “For the word of the Lord is truth, and whatsoever is truth is light, and whatsoever is light is Spirit, even the Spirit of Jesus Christ”

D&C 18:3-5: “And if you know that they are true, behold, I give unto you a commandment that you rely upon the things which are written; for in them are all things written concerning the foundation of my church, my gospel, and my rock. Wherefore if you shall build up my church, upon the foundation of my gospel and my rock, the gates of hell shall not prevail against you.

D&C 32:4: “And they shall give heed to that which is written and pretend to no other revelation; and they shall pray always that I may unfold the same to their understanding.”
